Ian Cooper, Manager of the JISC Monitoring Unit, was asked to present at the UKOLN/Mimas "Engagement, Impact, Value" workshop in Manchester on 24 May 2010.
A sneaky last minute amendment modified the title of the presentation as it was suggested we should speak of influence, rather than impact, as the latter term is somewhat overloaded.
The presentation is just one perspective as Ian does not represent JISC, nor is the Monitoring Unit a division of the JISC Executive. It gives an overview of the Unit, recent work carried out in the Services Portfolio Review, and investigates why and how we should support JISC in demonstrating the value and benefits of the services and work it funds.

Two variants of the presentation are available: PDF and Apple Keynote '09.
