1 Issues arising from Authentication Services Reports

1.1 Service Performance

WAYF

The WAYF service had availability of 100% over the previous 12 months.

Metadata Registry

The Metadata Registry service had availability of 100% over the past 12 months.

Helpdesk

The service level (SL) stating that any changes to the Metadata Registry Service, including the addition of new organisations’ details or changes to an existing organisation’s details will be carried out within two working days was only met in June and July 2009 this quarter.

JANET(UK) reported that one request took three days in May 2009.

1.2 Service Use

As of 28th August 2009, 749 organisations had joined the UK Access Management Federation (Source: UK Access Management Federation for Education and Research web site - http://www.ukfederation.org.uk/content/Documents/MemberList). Of those 508 were UK HE and FE, representing 70% of these sectors.
